Privacy Policy

TRVLR is a travel-recording and social app developed by White Raven LLC. This notice describes the current reviewed iOS and Android implementations. Features and service providers may differ by platform.

Information we process

TRVLR processes account and profile details; visits, coordinates, dates, routes, plans, lists, notes, photos and media; posts, stories, follows, messages and activity; device tokens; and the settings you choose. Social information you publish is available to the audience you select.

Location, photos, health, and contacts

Location supports maps, visit tagging, routes, nearby features, and—when enabled—background or geofenced experiences. Selected photos and metadata can help reconstruct travel history. Optional HealthKit or Health Connect access supports activity features. Contact discovery processes email addresses from contacts you select or authorize and compares them with TRVLR accounts using Firebase; this processing transmits addresses to Google's Firebase service, although TRVLR does not intentionally retain your address book as a separate contact database.

Messages

Message content is stored in Firebase. Current releases encrypt message text before storage, but the present conversation-derived key design should not be treated as true end-to-end encryption. White Raven is developing a replacement authenticated cross-platform encryption system. Do not use TRVLR messages for information requiring confidential or legally privileged communications.

Service providers

Current implementations use Firebase services from Google for functions that can include authentication, databases, analytics, messaging, and protected backend operations. iOS also integrates Google Mobile Ads and consent tools. Apple services can include Sign in with Apple, CloudKit, HealthKit, WeatherKit, notifications, and platform permissions. Android services can include Google authentication, Health Connect, Maps, location, notifications, and Firebase Analytics.

Advertising and analytics

Where advertising or analytics is active, device and usage information may be processed according to platform permissions and consent choices. The specific services used differ between iOS and Android. We do not sell personal information for money.

Retention and deletion

Information is retained while needed to operate TRVLR, protect the service, comply with law, and resolve reports. In-app deletion behavior is being aligned across platforms. Until that work is complete, contact us for a verified deletion request. Shared messages or content may remain available to other participants where necessary to preserve their conversations or records. See the account deletion page.

Your choices

You can change app visibility, advertising, location, photo, contact, health, notification, and tracking permissions through TRVLR and your device settings. Depending on where you live, you may also request access, correction, export, restriction, objection, or deletion.

Children

TRVLR is not directed to children under 13. Additional age or consent requirements may apply depending on location.

Security

TRVLR uses platform security, access controls, and encrypted network transport. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
